Feeling Better

After two days of the stomach flu, I finally feel great. I was so happy to wake up this morning without a stomach ache. Boy that flu really came and went so quickly. Luckily, I've stayed healthy for a few years and this was the first time in a long time that I have been sick. I don't like it, but then who does?

Chat We Chat? Revealing the Secrets of Chatting Online will be available for sale on Amazon in 5-7 days. As soon as I have a link, I will let you know as well as adding it to my website.

Finally finished proofing Shall We Chat? on Friday and, on Saturday, received the notice from Amazon that all is good and they will be prepared to publish the book when a copy is ordered. I ordered some copies for myself, of course, and I can't wait to see my book as a real physically published book. It looked good on the computer.

Now, I've got to find someone to buy it!

I don't know much about marketing so if anyone could give me a hand, I'd appreciate it. I will take my book to Chapters and Coles and see if they will carry it in their stores. I also have a few other ideas about how to get my book out there. A few suggestions from you would be great.

Yeh! The Leafs are in the playoffs but meet Boston in the first round. I hope they can win a game let alone the whole series but, if they can beat Boston, they might be able to win it all. Seeing the Cup in Toronto would be great. Can't wait until tomorrow night when the games begin.

All Day

During the whole day today, I was embroiled with proofreading my book: Shall We Chat? I must have traversed the complete book at least ten times. There were so many little corrections I had to make with the spacing and pages. In addition, every change I made, I had to go back and redo the table of contents which became a real pill. I must have changed the numbers in the table of contents 20 times.

It was very easy preparing my book for publishing with Kindle. Just follow the steps and behold its completed. However, with publishing it in book form, requires many more steps and concentration; especially the proofreading. Finally, at 5:30 pm, I completed the book. I have to wait now to receive an email to finish the process. I'm exhausted.

So, I'm relaxing with a game of poker online. I have been playing at Pokerstars since 2005. I try and play every day. A few months ago, I began playing with real money. No, I can't quit my day job but I enjoy playing and often at least make it to the money and win twice what it cost to play in the tournament. Usually, I play $2-11.00 tournaments.

Years ago, I played poker with some guys in Eastern Hamilton. We played in a bar for a year until that was closed down. Then we played in the basement of one guy's house. I did well coming 2nd and 3rd a few times. Then I required radiation therapy and was out of action for six months. When I was finally able to play again, the guys didn't invite me back. I was the only woman who played with them which I guess gave them reason to eject me from the game. I miss playing live.

It is a dream of mine to go to Las Vegas and play in a poker tournament. I have planned it out and it wouldn't be an expensive trip. I guess I would need about $1,000 which would cover my airplane ticket, hotel (Bally's at $33 a night), the tournaments ($60 buy in) and food. With luck and skill, I would hope to break even; however, I'm too realistic to take that chance. I can't afford to lose $1,000 right now.

Leafs are not playing tonight but the Blue Jays are playing the Yankees. I find baseball a little boring after watching hockey, but let's see if Toronto can win one. Wow there is no one in the stands in New York. Even the sportscasters sound bored.

So, now, I just wait for that email which will lead to finally publishing Shall We Chat? Revealing the Secrets of Chatting Online.

Relief

With a great sense of contented relief, I watch the Big Bang Theory on television and play in an online poker tournament. In the latter years, I have been feeling a huge sense of tripidation about publishing my books. Many nervous and worriesome days have been spent getting to this point. Now, my book is being sold on Kindle http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CHVBY4Q and soon to be published and available on Amazon in book form. I just have to get the margins correct for printing.

It was an eventful day for me. I had an appointment with my psychiatrist. Haven't seen him in a while because things are basically fine. I'm bipolar and have been since the age of 6. (Check out my website about the illness.) Saw psychologists and psychiatrists all through my childhood; none of whom realized what was wrong with me. It was the psychologist I saw today, whom I met when I was 27 years old and living in Toronto, who finally diagnosed me and thus began the endless trials of medications.

Finally, I was getting the proper help and my life became easier though it took many years to find the right combination of medications to assist me in stabilizing my debilitating illness which is chemical and not situational. I can't control how I will feel each day. I just have to wake up and see how I feel. Then I can decide how to organize my day.

So, it was great seeing my psychiatrist again. He is basically just a med doctor. He's not really a therapist though I do share some things with him. Mostly, he is in my life to organze my medications. For the past several months, I have been suffering from severe insomnia. I would be up all night and the next day until the evening. It wasn't difficult staying up during the night which I did with excitement and totally hyper. However, come the afternoon of the next day, I am incapable of doing anything which ruins and wastes the day.

My doctor found a new sleeping pill for me which will hopefully put me to sleep on those nights I am unable to sleep. It is not a drug to be taken every day; just on the bad ones, which usually occur once or twice a week. Let's see if this one works.

Back to the book tomorrow. Hopefully, I will easily be able to sort out the margins with the help from someone from the company. Looking forward to this next step.

Published on Kindle

The excitement and hilarity that I feel holds no bounds. I'm practically bouncing off the walls. Unfortunately, I have been suffering from severe insomnia and stay up all night. Usually, these nights are spent playing poker online, but tonight I published my book Shall We Chat? Revealing the Secrets of Chatting Online.on Amazon's Kindle.

You can reach the site using this link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CHVBY4Q

It is fantastic to know now that people can read my labours and enjoy my words. Hopefully, people will find themselves in the book or will know someone who is represented there. With a little luck, my readers will learn something and enjoy educating themselves about chatting online.

A little tired now so I think I'll leave this a short entry, but I go to bed happy.

Shall We Chat? is finished

Oh, please help! I spnt the day correcting the master copy of Shall We Chat? Lucily, it didn't take as long as I expected. So, with an innocent obsessive abandonment, I logged onto the internet to try and publish this thing. I followed the steps and have to make a few changes. In addition, I must wait to hear from the site first before I can make those final changes. Then I hope to have a link where you can buy my book.

I'm exhausted from today's mental and emotional exercise. It is all very exciting and new. I love a good adventure. I hope I'll sleep tonight.

In case you haven't been to my website www.pattylesser.com here is a blurb about Shall We Chat? Revealing the Secrets Online:

This descriptive and detailed book deals with everything you have always wanted to know about chatting on the internet. Every minute, hoards of common souls from every country in the world enter public and private chatrooms. They may spend minutes or hours chatting online with someone for a multitude of reasons; some of which are: sexual, searching for a spouse, to kill time, a regular in a chat room, or to have an intelligent conversation.

Thanks to technology, the average person, finding themselves alone, reaches out on their computer hoping to find someone with whom to connect. The soaring divorce rate and dissatisfied marriages have created much loneliness among people and, with the advent of the internet chat room, the ability to find someone to fill your needs has increased expedentially. It is difficult to find someone with whom to share your real world life so many people search to fill that void or intimacy on the internet. The blatant fact that it is absolutely anonymous is a major advantage. For many chatters, it is easier to chat with a stranger online than someone real which keeps people coming back to the chat rooms.

It must be primarily understood that most men (both married and single) use the chat rooms as a means to relieve their sexual tension. Some women have a similar purpose, but most of the men are horny and are unable to chat while one hand is busy. Their topic of chat conversation is always sexual in nature and either you go along with it or you stop chatting with that person. This is all discussed in Shall We Chat?

In ten compelling chapters, I delve into and explore the subject of chatting online. The chat room is an exciting, magical world unto its own with many complex and complicated issues. Each chatter's time in the chat room is a personal experience because many people unveil themselves completely which sometimes leaves them open to predators. In addition, some people become so invested in their chat friends, it causes disharmony in their real life especially if the chatters are married. Whether chatting is considered cheating on your spouse is up to the individual to determine, but many married people eagerly engage in a sexual relationship online.

Chat can be a brilliant place full of healthy amusements with new experiences and an enjoyable, educational period of time spent with a new or long-time friend. However, you must be aware that it is a fantasy world full of dreams. Or is it? How real is it to you? Read Shall We Chat? and judge for yourself.

So? Shall We Chat?

Sunday 21 April 2013

A Sunny Sunday

Oh what a beautiful morning. Oh what a beautiful day. I've got a wonderful feeling everything is going my way.

50 pages left to edit. Going a bit better now. Not as many mistakes but still finding a few glaring errors. Luckily, I am able to find them easily. I'm excited about my book. It is looking good.

Lovely day today. A little on the cool side, but bright, strong sunshine and blue skies. My friend, Marion, and her dog, Gracie, walk with me and my dog, Kira, every weekend. We had a wonderful walk enjoying the beauty of Rock Chapel Park. We love walking there. There are no dangers for our dogs and everyone walks their dogs off leash so while we spend a few moments exchanging interesting tidbits about our dogs, they play and socialize which is so important. Rock Chapel dog walkers are a community. We consistently meet each other as we pass on the trail. Our dogs play as we enjoy a little company.

Can't work on my book tonight. Leafs are hosting New Jersey. Big Leaf fan here. My favourite player is Reimer. Best goalie ever. So have to watch the game. I will have time tomorrow to finish reading Shall We Chat?

Actually, I have quite an empty week. Plenty of time to finish editing my work. When Shall We Chat? has been completely corrected, I will be publishing the book through Amazon. I will put it on Kindle first and then in book form which will be available for order on the Amazon website. This is a very exciting time for me. To see my ideas collected into a published book form will be a dream come true. But then, I have to get it on the book shelves.

Saturday 20 April 2013

A Quiet Saturday

It is absolutely amazing how you can read something online and then have it appear completely different when printed out. I thought this book was ready to be published, but it is not.

After reading the printed word, I am finding numerous and obvious mistakes that I find most discouraging because I didn't see them before. I am surprised by some evident errors. It is taking longer to edit than I thought.

Editing is also quite difficult because much concentration is required of which I do not have. I am trying my best, but I have great difficulty sticking with correcting my work. For example, I am writing this now while I should be editing.

However, I am enjoying reading Shall We Chat? I find it to be relevant and interesting which hopefully will attract you to buy it and read it for yourselves

Back I go to plug at it.

Get it, Got it, Good: It's Beginning

Get it, Got it, Good: It's Beginning: Hello, April 18th, 2013 My name is Patty Lesser and I am an author and preparing to become a published author. I have given up on publish...

Now Looks like a Book

Friday, April 19th, 2013

It's a stormy spring day with menancing clouds which threaten rain. Not a day I'd prefer to go out, but out I go to pick up my book printed out by Staples. My father wants to go to Costco and he doesn't drive anymore so I will take him. I'll probably pick up a few things for myself.

Made it back from Costco with my sanity intact. Lost Dad for about an hour as I ran around the whole store looking for him. I feel like I've walked a marathon. When I finally located him, he didn't seemed phased by my absence.

Well, my third book Shall We Chat? Revealing the Secrets of Chatting Online has been printed out and it looks great. Now I have to read it over again and check for any problems or mistakes.

But, first, I'm going to relax and play in an online poker tournament. Let's see if I can win some money to pay for the publishing.

So, all is well and I'm happy to be at home.

It's Beginning

Hello,
April 18th, 2013

My name is Patty Lesser and I am an author and preparing to become a published author. I have given up on publishers who are "not taking any new submissions" and agents who do not reply to queries so I am going to publish myself.

This weekend will be spent reading over my book: Shall We Chat? Revealing the Secrets of Chatting Online and then next week, I'm going to have it published.

Would you like to follow my new and exciting adventure? I will keep you involved with someone who is trying to live their dream after overcoming numerous obstacles past and present. It will be a fun journey because I love to laugh and enjoy a good joke, but this is serious for me and I could use anyone with any assistance.

I have a website which I would be pleased if you perused: www.pattylesser.com

Thanks for listening and I hope we can keep in touch.

have fun,
